The Grande Holiday Gala Dinner & Concert took place on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, marking the 150-year anniversary of the historic hotel. The event décor and overall design were undertaken by Rogdaki Events Trademark with Anna Maria Rogdaki leading the creative direction and styling.
Grand Ballroom Setup for the Gala
At 9:00 p.m., the Grand Ballroom welcomed guests into a fully prepared space. The design featured rich materials, gold details and carefully planned lighting, highlighting key areas such as the stage, the tables and the central decorative installations. Drawing inspiration from classic New York holiday galas, Rogdaki Events structured the room to support both the concert and the dinner, ensuring clear sightlines, functional circulation and a cohesive visual result.
Artistic Program and Performances
The artistic direction of the evening was led by Maestro Yiannis Hadjiloizou, who arrived with his wife and CEO of “FA”, Petra Palenyik Hadjiloizou. The musical program opened with Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” in Duke Ellington’s jazz arrangement, presented for the first time in Greece, giving a distinct character to the concert. Guest star George Davlas contributed with a strong vocal performance and stage presence, engaging the audience throughout the night.
Gala Dinner, Wine Pairings and Guests
Before the concert and dinner, guests were welcomed at the Royal Room for a reception hosted by George Karamitros of the Monsieur Nicolas estate, featuring SNOB sparkling wines in white and rosé. The gala dinner followed, signed by Chef Asterios Koustoudis, with a menu that included scallops, lobster, filet mignon and a chocolate dessert, paired with Idylle d’Achinos and La Tour Melas wines. Among the attendees were Hom Parviz (General Manager of Hotel Grande Bretagne), Adonis Polykarpou (CEO of Alterius Partners Ltd and exclusive sponsor of the evening), Andria Aristou, Andreas Kampanellas, Angeliki Koutoulia, Savvas Fakoukakis and Kyros Melas, whose presence underlined the corporate and hospitality character of the event.
